Shipping Policy
Forage & Soothe is rooted in slow craft, careful attention, and the gentle rhythms of the natural world. To keep production calm, consistent, and small-batch, all orders are shipped—no local pickup or local delivery is available.
Shipping allows me to focus on creating high-quality products while maintaining a workflow that protects the integrity of our craft.
We currently ship within Canada only.
Shipping Options
$7.50 Flat-Rate Shipping (Canada Post)
As a small business, I rely on Canada Post as our primary shipping partner. I know and value the people who work in our local post offices, and choose to direct as much shipping through them as possible.
This flat-rate option keeps shipping affordable and relational—supporting both our community and production rhythm.
*Provinces included in the $7.50 flat rate:
-

-

Purolator & UPS Shipping Options
Additional courier options, including Purolator and UPS, are available at checkout for customers who prefer alternative carriers. Please note that Purolator and UPS cannot deliver to PO Boxes.
Remote & Northern Destinations (Coming Soon)
I am exploring an affordable flat-rate shipping option for customers in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Because shipping to remote regions in Canada can be significantly more expensive through most carriers, I'm working with Canada Post’s flat-rate box system to create a solution that is predictable, fair, accessible for you and sustainable for our small business.
Once this option is fully tested and ready, it will appear automatically at checkout for qualifying postal codes.
Thank you for your patience as we design a northern-friendly shipping option that honours accessibility without compromising our craft or operational rhythm.
Order Processing Time
I keep our inventory up to date as best I can, and generally ship all orders within 2–3 business days, often sooner.
Once your order leaves the studio, you’ll receive a tracking number so you can follow it on its way to you.
Protecting Products During Warmer Months (April–September)
Some products are heat-sensitive. To ensure they arrive in optimal condition during warmer weather, I may use the “Card for Pickup” option.
Canada Post will hold your parcel at the nearest postal outlet rather than leaving it in a hot mailbox or outdoor area.
This small adjustment protects product quality while keeping your order safe and accessible.
Why We No Longer Offer Local Pickup
While local pickup once felt like a neighbourly option, over time it created unpredictable coordination and extra communication that quietly pulled energy away from the heart of this business: making thoughtful, small-batch products with presence and care.
Shipping-only operations allow us to maintain a steady, nurturing rhythm in the studio.
They protect our limited creative capacity and ensure every customer receives their order reliably and without delay.
Thank you for supporting a business that honours slow craft over speed.
Special Shipping Considerations
From time to time, select customers may receive complimentary or customized shipping/delivery arrangements. These accommodations are made at my discretion and are applied directly to individual customer accounts. They cannot be requested or transferred.
