Fire Cider is a VERY POTENT immune tonic traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to combat cold and flu, relieve nasal congestion and aid in digestion, and increase circulation. Our Kootenay-Style Fire Cider is fermented with the classic Fire Cider ingredients of raw apple cider vinegar, garlic, cayenne peppers, cinnamon and ginger and to boost this beautifully crafted tonic we've added a good dose of Chaga and Astragalus.

Key Ingredients:

  • Chaga is a type of fungus that grows on birch bark. It is rich in antioxidants and many beneficial plant compounds including triterpenoids, melanins, polysaccharides, polyphenols and flavans. Like garlic, ginger and apple cider vinegar, Chaga reduces cholesterol but it also helps you adapt to stress and change making it the perfect medicine going into and moving through Fall and Winter.

  • Astragalus (root): is an adaptogenic herb just like chaga. It is known for protecting and supporting the immune system, preventing colds and upper respiratory infections while normalizing blood sugar levels. Astragalus lowers blood sugar, and not surprisingly so does Chaga, making this adaptogenic duo the superheroes of our Fire Cider!

Now, traditionally, Fire Cider is sweetened with honey. But being a Canadian brand with a vegan skincare line, and also conscious of the effect sugar has on our health and well-being, we've sweetened our Fire Cider with Maple Syrup which has a lower glycemic index than honey.

Directions for use: Take 1/2 to 2 Tbsp daily.

Ingredients: Apple Cider Vinegar, Garlic, Ginger, Maple Syrup, Astragalus Root, Chaga, Cayenne Peppers, Ceylon Cinnamon, Orange Juice Concentrate.

ACV but better!

I have taken a shot of apple cider vinegar every day for the last 15 years. When I tried this at the Garlic Fest, I was immediately hooked. It's like apple cider vinegar but way better. Would love to see a version with hawthorn to help with my high blood pressure.

Perfect.

I have tried many versions of Fire Cider and I don't know what you Kootenay folk are doing but this one is the absolute best!
